Honest opening hours — never guessed
Every result carries a confidence label, so an assistant can tell its user exactly how sure it is.
confirmed — hours come from the place's OpenStreetMap record.
estimated — chain-standard or category-typical hours (e.g. “Costco: Mon–Fri 10:00–20:30”).
unknown — no data. NearNow says so instead of inventing an answer, and never reports a place as “open now” without basis.
Built for assistants, not browsers
NearNow speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Connectors point their agent at our endpoint and get three tools:
search_places → "pharmacies near Pasadena, CA open now" get_place_details → hours, address, phone, exact location list_categories → what this connector can answer

Venue data comes from OpenStreetMap, the free, community-built map. If your business is missing or its hours are wrong, you can fix it yourself in minutes at openstreetmap.org/edit — and every AI assistant using NearNow (and much of the open web) sees the correction. No listing fees, ever.
