NearNow is a software connector (an MCP server) that lets AI assistants search public-places information — locations, categories, and opening hours — derived from OpenStreetMap, the free community-built world map. NearNow is free to use.
Place data comes from OpenStreetMap and from general chain-standard schedules, and may be incomplete or out of date. Every result includes a confidence label (confirmed / estimated / unknown) describing how reliable the opening hours are. Always verify critical information (especially hours, especially late at night or on holidays) directly with the place before traveling. NearNow does not guarantee that any place is open, exists, or suits your needs.
NearNow is an information service. It is not a booking agent, emergency service, or navigation provider, and is not a party to any transaction between you and any place listed. Do not rely on it for emergencies — call local emergency services instead.
OpenStreetMap data is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) and is © OpenStreetMap contributors. NearNow is not affiliated with the OpenStreetMap Foundation, Meta, xAI, OpenAI, or any map or assistant provider. Where required, results carry attribution, and assistants presenting NearNow results should pass that attribution along.
You may use NearNow through AI assistants and MCP clients at reasonable rates. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass rate limits, resell raw bulk access, or use it to build an unlawful directory of individuals — NearNow only returns business and public venues, and requests aimed at locating private individuals are refused by design.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NearNow's operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from reliance on the service — including a wasted trip to a place that turned out to be closed.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.
We may update these terms; the current version lives at this URL with its effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
